Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our accounting department, including the design and implementation of systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information. This position requires a proven track record of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cost accounting, financial reporting, inventory control, cash flow monitoring, accounts payable, budgeting, forecasting, general ledger, cash flow management, internal controls, fixed assets, and experience in vineyards and wineries.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Monitor the financial performance of the company, compile and analyze financial reporting packages.
3. Prepare monthly and annual operating budgets, monitor progress, and present operational metrics.
4. Ensure timely and accurate budget analysis and financial review for management team.
5. Assist with the preparation of tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
6. Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company's procedures.
7. Communicate financial metrics to senior management and provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs.
8. Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner.
9. Propose action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained.
10. Support the CFO with facility and systems upgrades as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor&s;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred.
3. Minimum 3
years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
4. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
5. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
6. Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
7. Experience with financial and accounting software applications.
8. Proven leadership skills with a track record for developing internal staff.
9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
10. Impeccable analytical and organizational skills.
11. Self-motivated and self-directed.
12. Ability to work closely with a senior management team.
13. Experience in vineyards and wineries is a plus.
