Position Summary The Public Safety and Regulatory leadership leads teams to ensure compliance with the California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) General Order (GO) 165.
The leaders ensure that the electric distribution operations system facilities are in compliance with General Orders 95 and 128 through an efficient, compliant execution of GO165 inspections and patrols as well as a comprehensive quality work verification process.
The leader adheres to all safety regulations and policies and practices and influences staff to adhere as well.
Distribution leaders provide safe and reliable electric service while maintaining compliance with the California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) General Orders, all safety regulations and other regulatory requirements.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting.
This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.
The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity.
Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum:
$144,000Bay Area Maximum:
$244,000&/ORCalifornia Minimum:
$137,000California Maximum:
$232,000This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office, and your assigned location based on business needs.
Headquarters location is flexible within the PG&E service territory.
Responsibilities:
Leads staff to accomplish results through effective recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management and coaching, and rewards and recognition.
Manages capital and expense spending to ensure work identified in the program plan is completed and productivity cost targets are achieved.
Monitors employees' work and schedules to ensure effective work & resource planning and cost for assigned areas.

Performs field quality reviews (inspections) of employee's work.
Develop the department's long-term direction, operating plans, budgets, and performance metrics.
Represent the company in contact with other utilities, various industry boards, committees, regulatory agencies, governmental bodies, and other private organizations.
Review current work practices for operational efficiencies and deficiencies.
Oversees, and implements policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards to support business operating plans and goals.
Presents findings and makes recommendations to the Director.
Prepares data and other reports for submission to regulatory agencies to fulfill compliance requirements.
Guides the development of tools and processes that help the departments efficiently and effectively manage their compliance requirements.
QualificationsMinimum:
