Sales Analyst

Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for the day to day tasks of Operational Sales Analytical Support. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with highly competent analytical skills who has a deep knowledge of wine sales through the wholesale three tier distribution system.
The role will focus on the use of multiple data sources and the evaluation and appropriate communication of that data and analytics to support various business needs and functions within the organization. Additionally, this role will provide ongoing sales reporting; quantitative and qualitative analysis and recommendations based on data from a variety of sources; and overall partnership with field sales and finance to ensure profitable, successful, and financially rigorous execution of business plan objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Operations Support: (40%)
Provide on-going adhoc support for Field Sales and business management as appropriate.
Perform new hire trainings for new Sales Representatives on how to use the various monthly reports offered, concur expense reports and invoices if applicable, as well as Diver.
Maintain accurate and up to date SKU information within all required distributor software's including SGWS NIR and RNDC SNIR.
Assist Sales Analytics Manager with strategic projects and analysis.
Provide backup assistance for Advanced Pricing in JDE.
Attend local Sales Surveys as needed.
Reporting & Analysis (40%)
Update monthly Diver and Nielsen sales reports as well as provide an analysis of pertinent findings within the reports and effectively communicate these findings to the Sales Team.
Create a Monthly Snapshot focusing on key Nielsen findings that can be leveraged by the Sales Team during buyer presentations and assist in an overall understanding of current trends.
Proactively analyze Nielsen trends and provide recommendations based upon findings.
Provide insight and analysis on both company and competitive product's price elasticity.
Concur Administrator ? Wholesale Sales specific (20%)
Act as secondary reviewer for Concur Invoice. Ensure trade spend invoices are being processed in system correctly, with accurate coding to brand and SKU levels.
Provide training and guidance to new employees in the Concur system.
Education and/or Experience
BS in Finance, marketing or a related field desired and/or minimum of three years of increasingly responsible experience in sales operations, category management, sales finance, marketing analysis or equivalent. Wine Industry experience preferred. JDE experience a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Systems: Advanced PC skills required, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook). Familiarity with Diver, Nielsen / BDN, and JDE reporting tools preferred.
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills required including the ability to analyze several data sources and recommend actions based on the analysis.
Excellent organization skills, multi-tasking, and project management skills required, including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities is essential.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
